Welcome to my blog!

My blog is used to promote various community activities, identify some useful resources and raise awareness about the issues that are close to my heart.

I have a strong interest in personal and spiritual growth. I do not believe in organized religion and I consider myself agnostic. Nevertheless I believe that spiritual growth can be achieved in many ways.

For instance I believe that spiritual growth can be achieved by appreciating people for who they are, appreciating what we have as opposed to complaining about what we don’t have, and striving to do our best in our everyday life.

It is also my intent to use my blog to raise awareness about the issues that are close to my heart. As such it is my hope that my blog will become a forum where people can raise awareness about issues that are of common interests, exchange ideas and discuss potential solutions to some of the challenges that we face as a society.

I am very much a centrist in my political outlook. In fact I suspect that my political outlook is similar to that of most Canadians: I am somewhat conservative on fiscal issues but I am very much a liberal on social issues. Nevertheless I believe that common sense must prevail when we develop solutions to the challenges that we face as a society.

It is not my intent to promote any particular political agenda however I believe that most Canadians are unaware of the political influence that numerous far right groups enjoy in our country. I respect freedom of religion and freedom of speech however I believe that the freedoms that we take for granted are under attack by far right groups whose stated mission is to legislate their belief system on the rest of us. As such I will continuously raise awareness about the activities of these groups and I will raise awareness about the influence that those groups exert on our elected officials.

I also want to raise awareness about non-political issues. For instance we face numerous environmental challenges such as climate change and access to clean drinking water. As such it is my intent to discuss these issues in an open forum so that the voices of those who share my concerns may be heard.

As Canadians we have allot to be proud of and as such I believe that it’s important to share and celebrate the many positive things that are happening in our society! As such I will do my best to keep a balance between raising awareness about various issues while celebrating the good things that are happening in our society.

I intend to publish articles on my blog on a regular basis and I will continue to add interactive features so please visit my blog on a regular basis!
